It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary G Dierking, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished member of the Lewisburg community and many other communities. Mary peacefully departed this world on September 16, 2024, at her Maury Regional in Lewisburg, TN, at the age of 82.
Born on October 11, 1941, in Chicago, IL, Mary lived a life of love, kindness, and service to others. She shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband Leonard W Dierking until his passing in 2011. Their love was a beacon of light to all who knew them.
Mary had a passion for gardening, sewing, crafting, and baking, with purple orchids and lobster bisque being among her favorite things. Her generous spirit led her to volunteer her time sewing for veterans and children, delivering meals with Meals on Wheels, and comforting those in need with Hospice in Florida. Mary was also a dedicated leader of the TOPS weight loss group, where she shared her journey and inspired many with her resilience and kindness.
A gracious, kind, and sweet soul, Mary touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly. Her devotion to her family, faith, and community was unwavering, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion for all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mary is survived by her son, Leonard M Dierking; daughter, Donna Parsons; grandchildren, Chandler, Natalie, Racheal, David, Nichole, Nathan, and Tanya; great grandchildren, Malachi, Anna, Graysen, Payten, Austin, Brandon, and Eli; and her great grandchild Paislee who adored her deeply. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W Dierking, her parents, and her three sisters. In honor of Mary, Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia, TN will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 4:00 PM. Friends, family, and community members are invited to pay their respects and honor Mary’s memory.
May Mary G Dierking rest in eternal peace, knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
