Mary Frances Vinson, 76, Russellville, died on Monday, December 11, 2023, following a long battle with dementia. Mary was born on July 10, 1947, and was a native of Spring Valley, where she served as a home health nurse, raised six kids, and faithfully served alongside of her husband, preaching the Gospel.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Vinson; daughter, Myra Price; mother, Frances Keenum; father, Arthur Keenum, Sr.; sister, Darleene Vinson, and brother, Bo Keenum. Mary is survived by her sons, Billy Vinson, Jr. (Faye), Darren Vinson, Corey Vinson (Karen), and Danny Vinson; daughter, LaDoris Crowden (Donnie); sisters, Gloria Keenum and Rose Evans; along with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice Care for the compassion and care they provided; Bill Siegel for faithfully visiting; and Rhonda Russell for helping take care of her.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Friday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in Hyde Cemetery, Littleville.
Pallbearers will be Corey Vinson, Danny Vinson, Darren Vinson, Billy Joe Vinson, Jr., Corey Vinson, Sr., and Ricky Stone. Braxton Reeps and TJ Vinson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
