Mary Frances Patterson Ward was born on March 2, 1932. Mom went home to meet her heavenly Father on January 29, 2025 at 92 years old. Mom had a precious soul and was loved by many. She would help anyone that needed a meal and would sit with the sick. She was well known for her chocolate syrup and biscuits, brownies and homemade ice cream. Above all Mom loved her family. She was a proud member of Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Wayne Wood and Nolan Burns officiating. She will be laid to rest at Wesley Chapel following the service.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband J.R. Ward, granddaughter Celeste Wills, parents Bert and Lillie Patterson, sister Lorene Williams and brothers Rubin, Charles, Bert Olive, Bob, Clyde and Jim Patterson.
Frances leaves behind her children Karen Ward, Keith Ward (Waverly) and Kathy Linzey (Tara) and grandchildren Johanna Kearney, Kathy Lafferty (Nathan), Veronica Lamons (Chris), Brandon Linzey (Casey), Jordon Linzey (Victoria) and Katelyn Linzey. She was blessed with 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister Alice Faulkner (Walker) and sister-in-law Glenda Patterson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Linzey, Jordon Linzey, Tucker Linzey, Connor Rosson, Luke Lafferty and Nathan Lafferty.
