Mary Frances King Blair, age 85 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born Mary Frances King on November 21, 1938, known to only one as “Mama” but to many as just “Murmur.” She was born to the late F.P. King Jr and Ethel Denson King in Winchester on a small farm in the Centennial Community. Frances was a bookkeeper at Winchester Motor Company for around twenty-five years, Russell Mason Tractor and Knies Hardware for multiple years, and Blair and Blair Construction until her retirement in July 2023. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Thomas Wesley Blair; and brother, Joe King. Mary Frances is survived by her son, Marty Denton and his wife, Kelly Denton; step-sons, Gary (Renee) Blair, and Vann (Rhonda) Blair; sister, Barbara Hinkley; brother, Freddy (Janice) King; sister-in-law, Genevieve King; grandchildren, Cody (Tabitha) Denton, Miranda (Derrick) Gamble, Tyler Denton, Jason (Jacqueline) Blair, Joshua (Rachelle) Blair, Jared (Shelby) Blair, Amy (Chris) Meaker, Sarah Shaw Hembree, and Shelby Shaw Brannan; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Layne, Lily, Hudson, Daniella, Taylor, Olivia, Anna Belle, Rylie, Joslin, Olivia, Abby, Micah, Modesty, Cyrus, Kyler, and Grace Ann; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Frances loved her family more than anything. Caring and giving, she always gave more than she received. She lived a great, full life, loved by all and cherished by her family. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, August 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Roy B. Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow at Green Cemetery.
