Funeral service for Mary Faye Hogeland Hovater, age 87, of Decatur, will be Monday, October 9, 2023 at 6:00PM at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM to 6:00PM prior to the service. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 11:00AM at Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
She was born July 8, 1936 to Wendell A. Banks and Margaret Meyers Banks. She passed away on October 6, 2023 at her residence in Decatur, Alabama.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Lonnie Hogeland and Jeffrey Hogeland, her brothers, Charles Banks and Eugene Banks, and sister, Marcie Catlin.
She is survived by her son, Rahn Hogeland (Lynn), son, Jerry Hogeland, sister Debbie Raduka (Gregg), son, David Hogeland (Roxia), five grandchildren, Heather Pugh, Mandy Robinson (David), Alaina Raper (John), Josh Raduka (Kelsey), Ivy Raduka, eight great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Francis Banks.
