Funeral service for Mary Evelyn Garrison, 82, of Danville will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Speake Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Frances Proctor officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Center Church Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Garrison, who died Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital, was born December 28, 1930, in Lawrence County to Leamon and Cordelia Williams. She retired from the U.S. Forest Service Senior Program and was a member of Speake Christian Fellowship Church. She was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garvin Garrison; and one brother, Alvin Williams.
Survivors include one son, Dexter Garrison (Becky) of Danville; two daughters, Sheron Ball (Charles) and Evon Crawford (Gary), both of Danville; one brother, Arville Williams (Glenda) of Decatur; one sister, Verla Williams of Danville; six grandchildren, Krystal Armstrong, Myra Ritch, Jason Ball, Amy Kenum, Justin Blelew, April Williams; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ben Armstrong, Shon Ritch, Jason Ball, Matt Kenum, Justin Blelew and Jason Williams.
