Mrs. Mary Ethel Boyd, age 93, of Caledonia, MS, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Generations of Vernon.
Mrs. Boyd was born November 9, 1929, Slate Spring, MS, to the late Ozro and Myrtle Macon Burns. She was a school teacher and was married to the late Harley Lee Boyd. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Walter Boyd.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 2, at 11:00 AM at the New Salem Baptist Church in Caledonia, with Mel Howton and Walter Butler officiating. Burial will follow at the Egger Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 at the church prior to the service.
Survivors include her sister, Ann Dowdle; two granddaughters, Risa Boyd Pippen and Erin Boyd; two great-grandchildren, Avianna San-Souci and Nicholas San-Souci, and nieces and nephews.
