Funeral service for Mary Ellen ‘Doodle’ Bates, 56, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 26th, 2021 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Delbert Freeman will officiate. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Bates passed away Monday, November 22nd, 2021. She was born March 10, 1965 to Sam & Mary Nell Johns. She was employed at Cullman Regional Hospital. Mary was a loving wife, daughter and sister.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman & Lillian Keese and H.M. & Icie Johns.
Survivors include her parents; her husband, Terry Bates; son, Nicholas (Lori) Bates; sister, Lola (Greg) Ponder; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
