Mary Ella Cox, 72, of Decatur died Saturday October 10, 2015. Funeral service will be today, October 13, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with Reverend Hank Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Cox was born September 8, 1943 in Cullman County to William New and Rosie V. Upton New. She was a member of Cedar Ridge Baptist Church. She leaves behind two beloved pets, Riley and Rosebud. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albert “Jackie” Cox.
Survivors include one son, Anthony Cox and his wife, Denise; two daughters, Renita Maxwell and her husband, Terry, and Angela Cox; two brothers, Lonnie New and Hank New; two sisters, Patsey Arledge, Sue Birkhimer and Brenda Mahaffey; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
