Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Shelton Venable, 81, of Scottsboro, Al. passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 14, 2024.
Mary Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother and mawmaw. She loved her family, flowers and Jesus.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Venable Mullins (Aron); grand-daughter, Heather Mullins Neeley (Reese); great grandson, Bentley Reese Neeley; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Mary Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Homer Lee Venable; son, Freddie Lee Venable; father, Clyde Shelton; mother, Pauline Evett Shelton; and sisters, Carolyn Buckner, Beulah Hancock and Edith Phillips.
The family would like to thank Hospice of North Alabama for the care they provided to Mary Elizabeth in her final days. Special thanks to Cheryl, Chelsea, Beth and Angie.
