Mary Elizabeth Boles, age 91 of Elora, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on May 30, 1930 in Huntsville, AL to the late Billow and Sophie Lamb Reeves. Mary was a devoted member of the Huntland Missionary Baptist Church. She was known as “Momma Bear Boles” to those she loved. She loved to tend to her flower gardens, watch the hummingbirds and tend to her cats. Mary will be remembered as a faithful, strong willed and protective woman, who loved her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Boles; infant sons, Danny Boles and Steven Boles; son, Stanley Boles; daughter, Brenda Fanning; siblings, Buddy, William, Jim, Julie, Altie, Florence, Lilly, Bernice, and Louella. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Owens of Elora; sons, Mark (Stephanie) Boles of Huntland, Richard (Tina) Boles of Elora, and Ronald Boles of Elora; daughter-in-law, Judy Boles of Elora; son-in-law, Bobby Fanning of Elora; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 11am until 1pm at the Huntland Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1pm at the church with Bro.
