Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Blackwell, age 75, will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 20, 2021 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Old Gibson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 AM until service time.
Mrs. Blackwell, a beautician, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal Odell and Blondell Baker.
Mrs. Blackwell is survived by her husband, Mark Blackwell; a daughter, Dana (Matt) Holmes of Trenton; a son, William Dale (Vivian) Blackwell of Americus, GA; two sisters, Jean Bledsoe and Nell Jobe both of Jackson; a brother, Tony Baker of Jackson; and four grandchildren, William Blackwell, Sidney Blackwell, Parker Holmes and Callie Holmes.
