Mary Elisabeth Forkner Campbell, known as MaryBeth or MB to her friends and family, age 42, died peacefully in Alabama at Huntsville Hospital on 8/10/2021.
MaryBeth was born in Olney, MD on 10/14/1978 to her parents, Henry “Jay” Forkner, Jr and Susan Drinkard Adams.
MaryBeth graduated from Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg, VA in 1997. MaryBeth was always interested in the medical profession, and began her career as an EMT and CNA. MaryBeth graduated from Chattanooga College in Chattanooga. TN. She was so proud when her mother pinned her with her LPN on 9/29/2013.
She is proceeded in death by her grandmother Jean Forkner and grandfather Tye Drinkard.
MaryBeth is survived by her loving husband, Gable “Guy” Campbell, Jr. They were married at Cupid’s Chapel of Love in Gatlinburg, TN on 11/26/2011.
She is also survived by her parents; grandparents Hank Forkner of Mechanicsville, VA and Betty Drinkard of Forest, VA; and her siblings Jesse (Janie) Forkner of Midlothian, VA, Blaine (Becky) Forkner of Pittsburgh, PA, and Rachel (Rhett) Bailey of Athens, AL.
MaryBeth loved everyone, as well as animals, fish, birds, flowers and plants. She had many friends. Two special friends that she first met at City Park Elementary in Athens, TN in 1988 are Anna Hicks Russell of Lenoir City, TN, and Susanne Womack Edwards of Georgia have always been in her heart.
MaryBeth was a proud Godmother to Jasiah Phinizey of Chattanooga, TN.
