Mary Dean Crawford Chandler of Hornsby
Mrs. Chandler passed from this life early Saturday morning, February 13, 2016 at Lynnfield Place in Selmer, TN at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 5 days.
Born February 29, 1924 to Albert and Annie Baker Crawford, she was a life long resident of Hornsby. A graduate of Hornsby High School she was a member of the basketball team awarded State Championship her senior year in 1942. The widow of Robert W. Chandler who passed on November 8, 2008 she worked for Western Mental Health Institute for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, was a member of the Order of the Easter Star and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Hensley ahd her husband Bobby of Memphis, a son Rickey Wayne Chandler and his wife Brenda of Selmer; 2 grandsons, Richard and Robert Chandler; 2 brothers, Deryal and Kenneth Crawford; and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Suzy Chandler Hodge January 1, 2012.
