Ms. Mary Ann Plunk, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in Savannah. She was born January 2, 1944 in Haywood County, to the late David and Nancy Davis Simpson. She was co-owner of P & P Construction and loved gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and canning foods. She especially loved spending time with her family. Ms. Plunk is survived by her son, Stephen Creasy (Tonya); her daughter, Jennifer Elaine Adams (Barry); her step-son, Darryl Plunk (Krystal); her brother, Samuel Simpson; her twin sister, Shirley Dawson; sister, Annie Mae Creasy; three grandchildren, Crystal Adams, Chelsea Creasy, and Kloey Creasy; four great grandchildren, Remington Adams, Calix Creasy, Carter Maness, and Charlie Maness; and her friend to the end, Helen Creasy. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Matthew Simpson, Alvin Simpson, and J. D. Simpson; five sisters, Patsey Simpson, Ruby Palmer, Jennie Williams, Jane Jackson, and Elizabeth Alexander.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, May 19, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in McBride Cemetery in Sardis. The family will receive friends on Friday, 10 AM – 2 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
