Angie Koonce Mary Angeline (Angie) Sanders Koonce was born on May 24, 1947 and passed away on June 20, 2024.  Visitation will begin at 12 PM Saturday, June 22 at First United Methodist Church in Ripley, where she was a member, with funeral services to follow at 2 PM.  Interment will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens.  Garner Funeral Home of Ripley has charge of the services.

She was the oldest child of T.C. Angie was employed at the Bank of Ripley for more than 50 years and for the last 30 of those years was Executive Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer, heading the Human Resources Department, and was a long-time member of the Board of Directors.  She had been a member of numerous civic and social clubs and the Tennessee Bankers Association.

Left to mourn are her husband of 58 years Jimmy Koonce; sisters Joyce Kirby, Peggy Vanstory, and Kathy Holcomb; nieces Lisa Colvin, Janet Ray, Angel Jones, Emily Hicks, Rebekah Barron, Deanna Glenn, and Olivia Klemetsrud; nephews Tony Sanders and Harrison Koonce and many friends and neighbors.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother Roger Sanders.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church in Ripley.
