Born on March 30, 1943 in Lexington, TN to her parents, Bessie and Logan Lindsey, Ann was 81 years old.
Ann was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a dear sister, friend, and neighbor. Known for her radiant smile, she had a gift for bringing warmth and light to everyone she met, leaving a lasting impression of kindness, love, and connection.
Ann had a rare and extraordinary ability to know everyone—or, if she didn’t know you, she would quickly figure out how to connect with you. Her deep love for people was evident in every part of her life, and she had a true gift for socializing and making others feel like family. Whether it was through a casual conversation, a shared moment of laughter, or a kind gesture, she built meaningful relationships with everyone she encountered.
A passionate gardener, Ann found great joy in cultivating beautiful flowers, which reflected her vibrant and nurturing spirit. Her garden was a sanctuary of peace, a reflection of her love for creation and a reminder of her deep faith in God. She also had a fondness for lipstick, and beauty, often adding a cheerful touch of color to her life and the lives of those around her.
Above all, Ann, had a profound love for Jesus Christ, and her faith was central to everything she did. She lived with compassion, grace, and a servant’s heart, always eager to share the love of Christ with others. Singing hymns was one of her greatest joys, whether at church or in her home, and she found comfort in worshiping with her whole heart.
For 16 years, Ann, worked at Pafford Funeral Home, where she served as a greeter and coordinator. In this role, she provided comfort, compassion, and a listening ear to grieving families, always offering a sense of peace and solace during their most difficult moments.
In addition to her work at Pafford, she had a diverse career. She worked at Brown Shoe Company, Big K, and later at Lexington Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her gentle spirit and dedication to helping others will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and connection. She is preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Bessie Lindsey, two children, Tammy Bailey and Libby Reeves. And a brother in law, Donald Wadley.
She is survived by her loving husband Alton Herndon (Junior), three children Kimberlyn Dickson, Kenneth (Tammy) Reeves, and Donna Reeves. Her siblings Danny Lindsey (Linda), Debbie Sandlin (Bill), Margaret Wadley, Henrietta Williams (Bubby), and Shelia Roach. An abundance of grandchildren, Lindsey Bailey, Cody Moore (Mariah), Hailey Braden (Cody), Kendra Grissom (Chase), Lauren Dickson, Colton Reeves, and Jayden Reeves. Along with many great grandchildren, Peyton, Channen, Maverick, Madden, Parker, Colter, Mary Kate, Blakely, and Miley, and many extended family members and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM, Sunday, December 29, 2024 at The Pentecostal Church of Darden Interment will follow in Sand Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at Pafford Funeral Home, 5 – 10 PM, on Saturday at The Pentecostal Church of Darden, 10 AM – 9 PM and on Sunday at The Pentecostal Church of Darden, 10 AM – 1 PM.
