On September 24th, 2024, Mary Alvine Coleman was called home to be with the Lord. Mary was born on April 18th, 1948 to the late Rev. Theodore Roosevelt Coleman and the late Mary Sue Williams Coleman. Mary accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church throughout most of her life. While at Morning Star, she was an active member of the choir. In her later years, she attended the H.O.P.E. Center in Jackson, TN. Mary graduated from Stigall High School in 1963. Then she attended and graduated from Lane College in 1968. Over the years, she worked at Wal Mart, Trenton Special School District, and Humboldt City School District. Everywhere she worked, people loved Mary for her sparking and feisty personality. Mary loved all holidays and celebrating family birthdays. She loved getting presents, but also loved buying presents for everyone as well. Her favorite colors were purple and pink; we will always think of her when we see these colors. Some of her favorite phrases were: hey dawllin’, hey sugar, what’s up with it, and it’s all good.Mary is preceded in death by three siblings: Theodore Jr. (Humboldt, TN, Corean Carter (Philadelphia, PA), and Martha Cunningham (Birmingham, AL).She will be missed and her memory will be cherished by her daughter Kristi Coleman, two siblings, Dora Williamson (Rodney) and Rev. James Coleman. Her nieces and nephew include Dotson Carter, Jr. (Gween), Jeffrey Carter (Vanessa) Candace Williamson, Marquetta Coleman, Toshiba Johnson, Recey Williamson, and Terrence Coleman. Great nieces and nephews include: Kennedy Hennings, Jett Williamson, Marlon Polk, Lamond Greer, Adalina Greer, Avianna Bolin, Alayah Greer, Jamiylah Carter, Zayna Carter, Maariya Carter, Seychelles Carter, Jerome Carter, Amun Carter, Rico Carter, and D.J. Carter. Honorary nieces and nephews include: Trent Williamson, Elton Williamson, Carl Williamson (Raven), Brian Williams, Erika Williamson (Gary), Avery Williamson, Desaree Williamson, Orlandis Williamson, O’Ryan Williamson, and O’Riley Williamson
