A Celebration of Life Service for Mary Alice Johnson Hawkins 82, is set for 2:00 pm Monday at Shackleford Funeral Directors in Selmer, TN., with Bro. George Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 to service time at Shackleford Funeral Directors.
Mary died May 19, 2022 at her residence in Selmer, TN. She was born November 21, 1939 in Corinth, MS. to the late Ira and Alice Johnson. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. She was retired after 31 years from McNairy Co. Schools as a bus driver, where she loved her “bus children” as she often referred to them. She enjoyed working with her flowers, collecting dolls, traveling was her best memories with Floyd, that love of her life, but most of all she enjoyed was her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Floyd Hawkins who died February 1, 2022; her parents; brothers, Albert, Mancal and Louis Foust; sister, Nelda Jean Johnson.
She is survived by daughter, Liz Kiser; son, Randy Kiser; step- daughter, Lisa Lambert (Brad); step-son, Bryan Earl Hawkins Sr. (Dawn). grandchildren, Jonathan Goodrum (Autumn), Amanda Goodrum (Jimmy West), Joshua Goodrum, Zach Wilbanks (Jessie), Gracie Taylor (Marshall), Henry Joe Lambert, Dectony Thompson (TJ), Necole Ramey (Jake), Katlyn Hawkins, Lindsey Hawkins (Eric Merchant), Bryan Earl Hawkins, Jr., and Sarah Hawkins; Sister –in-law, Jackie Wardlow (Phillip); brothers-in-law, Jim Hawkins (Alice) and Bill Hawkins (Maudine);14 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Darrell Goodrum (Kassie); special friends, Melanie Roland, Rita Bellinger and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers are Keith Hawkins, Brad Lambert, Zach Wilbanks, Jonathan Goodrum and Joshua Goodrum, Henry Lambert, Bill Hawkins.
