Mr. Marvin “Toby” Alexander LaGrow Jr., age 63, of Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. He was born in Peoria, IL and moved to Eden Prairie, MN where he graduated High School in 1978. He moved to Scottsboro in the mid 80’s. Then in 1999 he graduated UAH with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree. Toby owned and operated T& R Engines. He served as a mechanical engineer with SAIC for 29 years prior to his passing. He left us too soon but his memory will be forever with us.
Mr. LaGrow is survived by his loving wife Linda Gallant LaGrow; brother, John Virgil (Shelley) LaGrow of Warrenton, MO; sister, Shirley Anne (Michael) Jelmo of Colorado Springs, CO; nephew, Dayton Thomas LaGrow of Warrenton, MO; nieces, Michaella Anne (Levi) Howell of Colorado Springs, CO., Alexandra Mari (Derek) Nichols of Colorado Springs, CO; and several great nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Ruth Ann LaGrow.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Hess officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Kidney Foundation.
