Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Russell Graves Jr., age 71, will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oakheaven Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM until 9 PM.
Mr. Graves, a salesman for Colormatch, US Army Veteran, former Baptist preacher, lifelong mechanic and drag racing enthusiast, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Milan General Hospital.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Cynthia Arnold of Humboldt; a daughter, Emily Atkins (Jeremy) of Dyer; two sons, Marty Graves of Dyer and Robbie Graves (Amy) of Jackson; four sisters, Janet Park of Millington, Beverly Reed (Mark), Debbie Abbott and Michele Milligan (Tony) all of Trenton; two step-children, Matthew Arnold and Emily Hill (Andrew) both of Jackson; five grandchildren, Adam Atkins (Chloe), Austin Atkins, Landon Graves, Tiffany Barham (Jacob) and Ella Hill; and one great grandchild on the way.
Pallbearers to serve will be Austin Atkins, Adam Atkins Landon Graves, Chris Park, Michael Park and Matthew Abbott. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Cross.
