Marvin R. Brown, age 87, of Tecumseh, MI, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, March 4, 2015, surrounded by his loving family and Hospice of Lenawee. He was born February 1, 1928, the son of Luther B. & Onnie B. (Warren) Brown. On September 29, 1947, he married Ellie R. Bishop in Hackleburg, AL. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2012. He drove truck for 25 years with Hubbard Apiaries and Larson Trucking and Swift for five years each. Marvin is survived by his two sons, Ken (Janet) Brown of Adrian and Danny Joe (Debbie) Brown of Clayton, three granddaughters, Wendy (Trevor) Bender, Shelly Brown, and Laura Brown all of Adrian, four great grandchildren, Jenna, David, Jack and Chloe all of Adrian. He is also survived by his brother, James J. Brown of Dora, AL. In addition to his wife Ellie, he was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Eugene Brown and two half brothers, Lee Brown and Burlson Brown. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Calvin Walden of Reformed Baptist Church of Lenawee officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI.
