Funeral for Marvin Lee Tidwell, 82, of Trinity will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Marcus Lipscomb and Rev. Johnny Gunter officiating. Entombment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, January 14, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Tidwell died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his residence surrounded by all of his family and friends, He was born May 29, 1936, to William Thomas Tidwell and Ollie Mae Cagle Tidwell. He was a faithful member of New Freedom Church. He was retired from Champion International Papers. Mr. Tidwell enjoyed gardening, his family, church and his pets Brownie and Ring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife – Madge Tidwell, Brother – Travis Tidwell, Sister – Hestel Martin and Grand Child – Cainan Tidwell

Son – Gary Lee (Lori) Tidwell
4 daughters – Connie Marie (Greg) Battles, Patty Ann Tidwell, Teresa Rene (Joey) Parrish and Sherry Lynn Tidwell Stephenson
2 brothers – Radford Tidwell and Charles Tidwell
2 sisters – Shirley Estill and Gail Johnson
5 grandchildren – Amanda Whitley, Tyler Stephenson, Holly Black, M. R. Battles, Tabitha Parrish and Kade Stephenson
6 great grandchildren – Dawson Crowder, Briley Battles, Laylah Whitley, Logan Whitley, Maddie Battles and Ripkin Stephenson
Special Friend – Betty Morris
Pallbearers will be Tyler Stephenson, M. R. Battles, Kade Stephenson, Dawson Crowder, Ben Whitey and Lee Black.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gathel Martin, Jeremy King, Kevin Tidwell, Ryan Sutton and Lance Vericker.
