Marvin Dee Kennedy, Jr. was born on September 12, 1950 in Jackson, Tennessee, the son of Juanita Foote Kennedy and the late Marvin Dee Kennedy, Sr. He dedicated his life to understanding and repairing engines, showcasing his incredible talent as a mechanic His skills extended beyond cars and trucks; he even had a knack for arcade games, demonstrating his diverse interests and capabilities.
Marvin was more than a mechanic; he was a storyteller who could easily captivate those around him with tales from his life. A passionate guitar player, he shared the joy of music with friends and family. He was also affectionately regarded as somewhat stubborn—a testament to his strong-willed nature.
Mr. Kennedy departed this life on September 8, 2024 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 11 Months, 27 Days. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Foote Kennedy of Selmer, TN; two daughters, Angela Wiles of Tuscumbia, AL, Selina Kennedy of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Johnathan Kennedy of Selmer, TN; a brother, James Cerad and partner Jimmy of Selmer, TN; five grandchildren, Dillon Wallis, Hunter Taylor, Alison Howard, Cameron Kennedy, Kyle Hembree; five great grandchildren, Isaac Wallis, Addison Dove, Carlee Taylor, Charlotte Taylor, Mia Taylor; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Marvin Dee Kennedy, Sr.; a brother, Alan Fred Kennedy; and a sister, Lillian Ann Kennedy.
