Marvin Dale Gabbard Profile Photo It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marvin “Dale” Gabbard, a beloved soul born on June 22, 1962, who departed from this world on June 28, 2024. Dale was the cherished son of the late Denver Gabbard and Glenna Durham Pierson, and his departure leaves an indelible void in the lives of all who knew him.

Dale’s legacy of love and warmth is carried forward by his devoted wife, Lisa Rader Gabbard; his sons, Marvin “Cracker” Gabbard, Jr. and Randy Gabbard; his stepson, AJ Brock; his daughter, Felicia Isaacs; his stepdaughter, Heather Butler; and his two dear sisters, Lisa Walters and Teresa Tompkins. His life was further enriched by his numerous grandchildren, including Casey, Nikki, Ava, Parker, Wedge, Dalton, Lesson, Eli, and Arianna; great-grandchild: Hudson Chase Lesson, as well as a host of cherished nieces and nephews. Dale is now reunited in eternal peace with his siblings, Joey Gabbard and Tina Henry.

A man of the land, Dale dedicated his life to the noble pursuits of farming, raising tobacco, tending to cattle, cutting hay, and cultivating a thriving garden. He was a passionate outdoorsman, whose hunting prowess brought home many a prized buck. Dale found solace and joy in the scenic backroads of S-Tree Tower, Turkey Foot, Flat Lick Falls, Cumberland Falls, and beyond, where he often wandered, finding communion with nature.

In the later years of his life, Dale discovered a newfound zest for adventure, embarking on travels and delighting in the vibrancy of concerts. A particularly treasured memory was his epic road trip out west, where he traveled seven states in a span of two weeks with his wife and stepson, creating memories that would last a lifetime. His love for music evolved into a profound appreciation for gospel, and he took great pleasure in playing his bass guitar in a band, spreading joy through his melodies.

Dale was a man of remarkable character, endowed with a humble soul and an exceptional sense of humor. His sharp wit and cannon of sarcasm never failed to elicit laughter, endearing him to all who had the pleasure of his company. Above all, Dale cherished moments spent with family and friends, creating bonds that will endure long after his passing.
