Marvin Brown, 77, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Alabama on June 1937, to Luther and Flora Mae Brown. He served in the United States Navy and worked several years as a truck driver. A gifted musician, he loved playing the guitar and also enjoyed fishing.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Tupelo Memorial Park at 3 PM on Tuesday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be Noon until service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
He is survived by 5 children, Matt Brown (Connie) of St. Joseph, MO, Karen Shellenbarger (Mark) of Paragould, AR, Eddie Brown (Cindy) of Fontana, CA, Kathy Olinger and Marvin Brown both of Alaska; a sister, Shirley Raines of Anniston, AL; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Ginger Brooks, his first wife, Judith Ann Brown and his second wife, Bettie J. Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
