Marvelene Shewbart, 94, passed away December 29, 2024 at The Meadows in Fulton, MS. She was born in Alabama to Tommy and Vassie Lindley Humphries. She was a member of Burnout Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, at 1:30 P.M. at Dempsey Cemetery, Russellville, AL with Bro. Billy Nicholsl officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 31, 11-1 at Deaton Funeral Home Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Dempsey Cemetery, Russellville, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Shewbart; two children, Connie Pendegraph and John Shewbart and his wife, Jamie; daughter-in-law, Debbie Shewbart; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Doug Shewbart.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Pendegraph, Brock Raper, Hayden Seahorn, Jarod Massey, Brent Collum and Todd Lindquist. Honorary pallbearers will be Emmett Ledbetter, Jack and Greyson Raper, Grace Pendegraph, Halley and Addison King.
