Marvarene Garner Vincent, age 90 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. She was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on October 18, 1933, to the late Dudley E. and Gertrude (Adams) Garner. Marvarene was a 1951 graduate of Franklin County High School. A dedicated homemaker, she was a supporter of her husband for sixty-nine years on the farm, always there to lend a helping hand whether it was driving a tractor or being an extra pair of hands. She enjoyed quilting and loved to sing, no matter what the occasion. A devoted Christian, Marvarene read and studied the Bible daily. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Estill Springs, where she had been the youth choir director and helped with children’s musicals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. Vincent; and siblings, Marion Mayes, Betty Raber, and Charles Garner. Marvarene is survived by her loving children, Kareen Vincent Goodwin; and Eddie (Jill) Vincent; grandchildren, Clinton Vincent, Micah (Candace) Vincent, and Anna Marie (Ryan) Cate; great-grandson, Ethan Wade Vincent; siblings, Dudley E. Garner Jr, Bill (Jeanette) Garner, and Pam Adamson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. John Segree officiating.
