Marva Gail Wencil, age 87, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. Marva was born on May 23, 1933 in Wakarusa, Kansas to Violet Renyer and Carter William Baxter.

She graduated from Washburn High School in Topeka, Kansas in 1951. Marva was married to John Robert Wencil on October 19, 1953 and together they grew their family for the next 67 years. After earning a degree in Accounting in 1973, Marva joined Huntsville Coca-Cola Bottling Company from which she retired in 1999 as Vice President of Purchasing and Traffic. Left to cherish memories of Marva are her husband, John R. Wencil; son, Douglas Wencil (Jan); son Donald Wencil (Donna); and daughter-in-law, Stacey Mixon (Kyle); seven grandchildren, Benjamin Wencil (Rebecca), Brandon Wencil (Marian), Heather Poschel (Tyler), David Wencil (Jessie), Hannah Mixon, Kris Tate (Jamie) and Tim Tate; six great-grandchildren, John Carl Wencil, Neil Wencil, Mason and Joel Poschel, and Taylor and Riley Tate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet Renyer and Carter William Baxter; brother, Warren Baxter; sisters, Marjorie “Jean” Dibbern and Theo Brenner; and grandchildren, Will, Robert and Michael Mixon.

A public viewing for Marva will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
