Martha Ross Marlow Powers

Martha Ross Marlow Powers, age 89, of Elkmont, AL passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on August 26, 1935, in Athens, AL, to Joseph Berry “JB” and Christine Ross Marlow.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Mahlon Powers, daughter Jean Pugh, grandson Kelsey Powers, great grandson Hunter Pugh, sister JoAnn Rolin, and brother Bonnie Marlow.
Martha is survived by son Roger Powers (Kay), daughters Connie Powers and Christy Hampton (Phillip), son-in-law Joe Pugh, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Sophie.
She retired from Limestone County Board of Education and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.
Martha enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, working in her flowers, and gardening.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Burial following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
