Martha Ophelia White Gibson passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was 84 years old. Born January 20, 1939 in Amory, she was the daughter of Bascom and Maggie Adams Tucker. Martha worked as a seamstress in the garment industry for many years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching game shows and wrestling. She was dearly loved by her family who will miss her dearly.
Martha leaves behind four children, Pat Glass of Mooreville, Robert White of Saltillo, Ray white of Pontotoc, and Dewayne White and his wife, Jessica, of Mooreville; 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Tony White and Norma White.
Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo
Services celebrating Martha’s life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel.
Pallbearers will be Austin White, Christopher White, Hunter Fleming, Brandon Hesler, Justin White, and Tanner Kilby.
