Martha Nell Hodgson Huett age 88 of Dora, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 12, 2018.
She was a longtime member and Sunday school teacher at Sumiton First Assembly of God. She was retired from AT&T; was a former PTA President at Sumiton and Dora schools; she served on many foreign mission trips; and was the Past President of the Walker County Women’s AGLOW.
Funeral services will be Saturday July 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jack Thorn and Matt Huett will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday night 6-8 pm and Saturday from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Huett; sister, Ann Parrish; brother, Jeffery Hodgson and brothers in law, Edward Pair and James L. Huett and wife Lenora.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Huett (Lea) of Pelham, Stephen Huett (Camie) of Gardendale, Tim Huett (Denise) of Dora and David Huett (Cathy) of Florence; grandchildren, Matthew Huett (Nicole), Jennifer Russell, Jason James (Shelli), Emily Norris (Kevin), Jeff , Hannah, Amy and Trisha Huett, Chad Huett (Jenny), Tiffany Huett Hill (Mikey), Adam Huett (Amanda), Amber Huett and Ashley Shipman (Bryan); eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Hodgson (Becky), George Hodgson (Susan) and James Hodgson (Elaine); sister, Linda Pair; sister in law, Thelma Hodgson; several other family members and a host of friends.
