Martha McAllister, age 77, of Scottsboro, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025 at her residence. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a faithful member of Scottsboro Free Holiness Church.
Mrs. McAllister is survived by her sons, Darrin McAllister (Shawn) and Dana McAllister (Stacie); 5 grandchildren, Paige Copeland (Jon), Andrea Banzhoff (Josh), Eric McAllister, Melanie Gunter (Andrew) and Daniel McAllister; 4 great grandchildren, Sam Copeland, Natalie Gunter, Luke Copeland, August Gunter, and one on the way, Jacob Banzhoff, sister, Faye McBryar.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Samuel “Buddy” McAllister; parents, Elmer Dee Pennington and Della Hill Pennington; 5 sisters, Ruth Blevins, Jean Mayo, Elma Clayton, Wanda Higdon, and Judy Jones.
The funeral Service will be Sunday March 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Shirley Byrum and Bro. Scott Cooley officiating. The visitation will be from Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home and Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm. The burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
