Martha “Marty” Patterson Bruder of Hazel Green passed away on Monday. She was 81.
A devoted Christian, she was a member of Kelly’s Creek Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she was a hard worker and had several different jobs including Walmart where she loved working.. Marty had a closet in her house filled with clearance items that she blessed other people with. She could do anything, was a gifted homemaker, and was known for being kind and geneous. She loved her family and always came to the rescue of those she loved – no matter what they needed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel L Bruder; her parents, Aldon & Mildred Patterson; her siblings: Bobby Patterson, Barbara Patterson, Malcolm Patterson, Larry Patterson, Eddie Patterson, Winston Patterson, and Connie Patterson.
Surviving family members include children: Ronald J. Steadman Jr. and his wife, Tammy, Amanda C. Power and her husband, James, Amelia Stubblefield and her husband, Teddy, and Kim Stoddard and her husband, Jason; Her grandchildren: Brea (Michael) Cothren, Brittanie (Chris) Smith, Daniel (Lyndsey) Smith, Alecia Sloan, Derica (Jacob) Johnson, Heather (Steven) Gates, Kelsey (Cody) Lohmann, Elizabeth Power, and Dalton Power; 26 great-grandchildren and one, great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings:

by her sisters-in-law: Kathleen Patterson and Nelda Patterson, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12PM until 2PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will then be in the funeral home chapel at 2pm with Michael Cothren and Daniel Smith officiating. Burial will follow and will be in Malone Cemetery in Ardmore.
Pallbearers will be Steven Gates, Chris Smith, Dalton Power, Johnny Baker, Dakota Smith, and Jacob Johnson.
