Martha Martin Williams of Endville, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at Rosewood Residence. She was 90 years old. She was born in Pontotoc County on February 15, 1934, the daughter of Roy and Maude Anderson Martin. On December 11, 1953, she married the love of her life Roger Williams and they enjoyed 68 years together until Roger’s passing. Martha became the director of Rosewood Nursing and Rehab Facility in 1998. She dearly loved her staff and residents. Martha loved the outdoors and tending to her beautiful flowers. Her feisty spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by three children, Lee Ann Boatman (Mark) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Phyllis Holland of Blue Springs, and Brian Williams (Sondra) of Belmont; sisters, Hazel Roberts and Linda Hankins; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; three brothers, Dwight Martin, Ed Martin, and Stacy Martin; and a sister, Carol Ann McNutt.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Sherman Baptist Church.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Sherman Baptist Church with Dr. Gregg Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Broyles, Jeffrey Broyles, Travis Little, Cody Williams, Ben Williams, and Parker Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Presley Thomas, Brody Williams, Collyn Roberts, Holden Little, and Tripp Little.
