Martha Mai Graff Vaughan – Obituary

Martha-Vaughan-1433075730Martha Mai Graff Vaughan, age 83, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Life Care Center of Columbia.

Martha was born on February 7, 1932 to the late Ernest Graff and Myrtle Overstreet Graff in Maury County. Martha worked as an administrative secretary and also as a sales associate at Wal-Mart for 20 years before retiring. She loved to knit and go bowling. Martha deeply loved her children and enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved being able to travel with her husband. Martha was a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Dan King officiating.

Martha is survived by her son John E. (Virginia) Vaughan of Humboldt, Tennessee; daughter Vicky (Jerry) Sadler of Fairview, Tennessee; brother Ernest Graff Jr.; grandchildren Amy Moore of Medina, Tennessee and John Moore of West Palm Beach, Florida; great-grandchildren Zachery Skelton of Medina, Tennessee and Austin Dubois of Smyrna, Tennessee; and step-granddaughters Jessica Monk and Melissa Monk.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Myrtle Graff, brother William Graff, and sister Norma Rae Jones.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Jones, Jimmy Jones, TJ Jones, Mike England, Kevin McKennon, and Ben Jones.
