Martha Lou Reed Easterwood, 58 of Arab, the Ruth Community died Sunday, April 12, 2015 in Marshall Medical Center North, Guntersville.
Mrs. Easterwood was born November 19, 1956 in Marshall County, the daughter of William Radford Reed and Annie Ruth Freeman Reed. She was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1975 and also a graduate of Snead College and Athens State University. She was a retired Public Accountant.
She had lived in the Ruth Community for the past 27 years and was a member of Mount Oak United Methodist Church. She and Charles L. Easterwood had been married for 9 years; she was previously married to the late Jimmy Paul King, he preceded her in death June 12, 2004; she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter: Ryleigh Toler and by her parents.
She is survived by her husband: Charlie Easterwood; two sons and daughters-in-law: Brandon Lee and Jennifer Dunn and Kevin Neal and Amanda Dunn; a step son: Rex Lee Easterwood; two step daughters: Amanda Susan King and Tasha Easterwood; 10 grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Lillian and Junior Saint and special nieces: Amber Beasley and Angela Sparks.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Ronald Earwood, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Oak, Ruth Cemetery Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel to help with funeral expenses.
