Mrs. Martha Lee PritchardMrs. Martha Lee Pritchard, age 69, of the Albertville community, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Martha was born on December 20, 1954, to the late Steve and Lassie Hester. She was a 1973 graduate of Arab High School. Martha was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Albertville, finding joy and fulfillment in fellowshipping with her church family. She served as the past president of the Ruth Homemaker’s Club, demonstrating her commitment to bettering the lives of those around her. Martha had a special affinity for working with small children and was known for her nurturing and loving nature. She found joy in crafting and used her creative talents to spread happiness to others.
Family was at the center of Martha’s life, and she treasured every moment spent with her loved ones. She was the beloved wife of Bruce Pritchard for 51 years. Martha is survived by her children, Valeri (Eric) Riley, Joe (Kaci) Pritchard, and Mackenzie Pritchard; grandchildren, Eliza-Kate, Reagan, Vanessa, Bay, and Scout; siblings, Ann (Steve) Jones, Sarah Braswell, and Grady (Teresa) Hester, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Lassie Hester, and her sister, Stephanie Thompson.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Martha’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Albertville, with Bro. Chris Johnson and Bro. Ricky Holmes officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at the church starting at 12:00 pm. Martha will be laid to rest at Diamond Cemetery, Warrenton Road, Guntersville, Alabama.
Pallbearers for the service will include Thomas Carroll, Mark Gay, Mike Sowell, Mike Williams, Eddie Brown, and Kevin Smith; Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the First Baptist Church of Albertville.
The family is being assisted by Adams Brown Service Funeral Home during this difficult time.
