A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Martha Lee Crowe, 85, will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Decatur City Cemetery with Scott Nance officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Crowe died on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Colonial Center Nursing Home, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born September 10, 1938, in Morgan County, to Richard Hobson Livingston and Sarah Elizabeth Jolly Livingston.
Mrs. Crowe was a graduate of Decatur High School in 1957 and was a member of the Honor Society. Martha, in her younger years, loved sewing and gardening. She was employed by the Decatur Daily for a time and also worked at Decatur Grain Elevator but she found her passion through working with the Decatur City School System, where she was an educational advocate for children attending Crossroads alternative school. She brought joy to her students and instilled hope for a future in them.
Martha was an avid reader, and animal lover, enjoyed Florida beaches and loved Alabama Football. She was a cherished wife, mother and grandmother.
The family would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Southern Hospice of Kentucky for the special help and care given. Our hearts are heavy as we have had to say “Good-bye” but her spirit is alive and well with her first love, Jesus. She has been made perfect in Him. Hebrew 10:14.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Jimmy N. Crowe and her parents.
Survivors include her Son – Jimmy Neal Crowe, II, a Daughter – Jenna Lee Nance (Scott) and three Grandchildren – Molly E. Nance, Heath Nance and Maggie Bohlander (Will).
