Martha Katherine Stephens Martha Katherine “Aunt Kat” Tabor Stephens, 93, of New Hope, passed away Sunday.

“Aunt Kat” was a graduate of the New Hope High School Class of 1945. She was an all around athlete who played softball and basketball. “Aunt Kat” and Uncle Donald were regulars at the Huntsville Speedway where they were a part of the New Hope racing team. She enjoyed attending the New Hope Senior Center, baseball, quilting and making sure everyone was fed.

She was preceded in death by husband, Donald Stephens; parents, John Robert and Mable Estell Tabor; sister Lola (Delbert) Lemley; brother, Bobby Jack Tabor.

“Aunt Kat” is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Michael Webster, Hunter Thompson, Kaleb Thompson, Matthew Dunnavant, Logan Durham, Skylar Bearden, and Jamie Lemley. Honarary Pallbearer will be Elijah Martin.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mylon Metcalf officiating. Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery.
