Martha Joyce Patterson, 85 of Athens, passed away on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Patterson was born on November 5th, 1938, in Athens, to Villard and Mamie Walker McLemore.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her husband Ray Patterson; son Allen Lankster (Pat); brother Gery McLemore (Rosemary); sisters Wanda Nelson (Larry) and Kathryn York (Don); grandchildren Brandi Lankster and Kristi Widner (Dylon); and great-grandchildren, Cowan Dorroh, Tad Dorroh, Vada Black, Braxston Burdge, Dasya DeFoe, Myla Widner, and Kadien Carter.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Amber Lankster Carter; brother Arvil McLemore; and sister Alice Haggard.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson will be Tuesday, April 16th, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Terry Lamar officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Patterson was a special lady. She was a hard worker and worked at Delphi for 14 years. She loved to cook and loved to go shopping. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
