Funeral service for Martha Joan Keeton Bivens, 81, will be Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM at South Decatur Church of God with Pastor Jay Rhodes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah. Visitation will be Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at South Decatur Church of God.
Mrs. Bivens died on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born September 11, 1940, in Morgan County to Joe Scott and Iva Lee Thompson Scott. She was a member of the South Decatur Church of God for 50 years, where she taught Sunday School for those 50 years. She was very active in her church and was a devoted christian. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was employed by Belk and Martin’s in retail sales prior to her retirement.
Preceding her in death were her first husband: L.D. Keeton, and a son: Anthony Allen Keeton and her parents.
