Martha Jo Allred – Obituary

Martha Jo Allred, 77, of Rogersville died Wednesday, October 02, 2013 at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing Facility.
She was a graduate of Phillips High School, Birmingham and attended Auburn University. She was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church. She was employed by the U.S. Department of Labor as a federal investigator of fraud and retired after 30 plus years of service. Martha was known to all for her sense of humor, independent spirit, kind heart and love for family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Robert Lancaster and Pam Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow in Civitan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Terry, Roger Terry, Bill Davis, Rodney Lusk and Phillip Drummond.
Ms. Allred was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Nell Allred. She is survived by her cousins, Adeline (Roger) Terry of Moulton, AL, Ann (Dan) Glass of Cropwell, AL; Brandon Terry of Moulton, AL who was considered her special grandson and a host of cousins and friends.
