Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Jean Bradford , age 73 of Ashland, will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Olive Branch Baptist Church in Ashland with Bro. Richie Farrow officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Martha passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Lineville, Alabama where she has lived the majority of her life. Her Lord has been the center of who she is and how she lived her life. Olive Branch Baptist Church has been an important part of her life since she was a child. Not only did she raise her children as believers, she has worked continually in church on any job she was needed to do. She has been very instrumental in Vacation Bible School, as well as an active member of WMU, choir, and ministries to the elderly. Not only was she skilled in almost any craft, the family and friends will always remember and treasure the handmade cards she made for all occasions. She enjoyed baking, reading, puzzles as a past time. Martha loved and was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. They were her joy and her life.

Mrs. Bradford is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert Dale Bradford of Ashland, one daughter, Kerri Bradford (Brian) of Millbrook, one son, Kevin Bradford (Anya) of Ocala, Florida, six grandchildren, Conner Bradford (Alex), Macaidyn Bradford, Trent Bradford, Kai Bradford, Jad Bradford, and Brea Bradford, three sisters, Carolyn Erskin of Springville, Linda Hickman (Robert) of Talladega, and Maudine Barker of Talladega, and a large extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Pettis and Genever Yates Smith, one sister, Mary Ann Morgan, and one infant brother, William Henry Pettis, Jr.

Mrs. Martha Bradford’s pallbearers will be Kenneth Rush, Lee Brand, Tony Hickman, Matthew Edge, Trent Bradford, and Conner Bradford.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 10:00 -11:00 A.M. at Olive Branch Baptist Church.
