Martha Jane Nevins, born February 26th, 1949, in Glasgow Kentucky, passed away at Alive Hospice on April 26th 2022 at the age of 73. She was raised by loving parents Randall and Jennie Mae Grider, and her family eventually moved to Tompkinsville, Kentucky, where she grew up.

Jane spent most of her life as a homemaker, where she was unofficially the greatest southern chef to come out of Tompkinsville. She also used her skills as a dietician to prepare meals for diabetic patients at Baptist Hospital. She also worked as a Middle school secretary at Ezell Harding Christian school. Aside from her love for educating and helping people, Jane loved sewing, painting, and crafting of all types. Jane is preceded in death by her parents Randall and Jennie Mae Grider, husband Joseph Clark Nevins and brother Jimmy Grider.

She is survived by her children Jennifer Burton and Andrew (Radka) Nevins, grandchildren Asher Clark Burton and Ellis Dale Burton and a number of other family members.

A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday April 27th, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, TN.

Visitation with family and friends from Tompkinsville, Kentucky will be held on Thursday April 28th from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Bartley and Sons Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

The family will be generously donating floral arrangements to Alive Hospice as thanks for their genuine care for the family.
