Martha Gertrude “Trudy” Graham, age 94, of Huntsville, AL passed away on August 11, 2024. Trudy was born on November 1, 1929, at home near Andalusia, AL to Milton Eiland and Lorena Wyatt Eiland.
Trudy was active in the Women’s Mission Union as a member and leader. She was a retired elementary school teacher and taught Sunday school for many years as well. She lived on a farm growing up, and later as a wife and mother in Jay, FL.
Trudy was very involved in missions work. She went on many mission trips and taught English as a second language. Her greatest joy was serving the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence B. Graham, her six brothers, Elmer, J.D., Ferrin, Curtis and Athan Eiland, and her two sisters, Ruth Baine and Evelyn Sheilds.
She is survived by daughters, Sherry King (Terry) and Rita Roberts (Brad); six grandchildren, Brandon (Shelly), Tiffany (Brad), Erin, Adam, Ben and Sam; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many more relations and friends. She adopted two grandchildren as her own, Bess Desta (James) and Wesley Jernegan (Hannah).
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, followed by the service at 12. The graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 16, at Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery in Jay, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you donate to the mission work at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, with the designation “In Memory of Trudy Graham”.
