Martha Geneva Evans

Geneva Evans, 86, of Florence, died Sunday February 1, 2015, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be 6pm to 8pm Friday at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2pm Saturday in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Terry Carroll, Garry Carroll, Ricky Carroll, Brandon Carter, Ed West and Billy Ray Hipps.
Mrs. Evans was born in Tennessee and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She was retired having worked as produce manager for Shop Rite and hostess at Jacks on Florence Blvd. and Cloverdale Road.
Preceding her in death were her parents, D. C. and Lillian George Horton; husband, Billy Ray Evans; daughter, Dale Evans Carter; sister, Otha Horton Carroll. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Evans West (Ed), Huntsville and Susan Evans Rorie, Centreville, VA; brother, Billy Wayne Horton (Gloria), Ft. Washington, MD; many grand and great-grandchildren.
