Martha Frances Gray Snider was born on South Broad Street in Albertville on April 24, 1941. She passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her residence. The youngest child of Floyd Gray and Viola Love Gray, she spent the majority of her life in Albertville. Graduating from Albertville High in 1959, she ventured to Snead State for a few years. As a young adult she participated in the First Baptist Church Choir, spent hours painting landscapes and was an active member of the art club. Her adult years were spent as a stay-at-home mom and sales associate at the former West Point Pepperell in Boaz.
Her marriage produced 3 children and 3 grandchildren: Floyd Thomas Snider, III (Tammy Snider), Racheal April Michelle Snider who proceeded Martha in death, and Angelina Snider whose children are Katherine, Koen, and Emory Hannum.
Martha loved Westerns, talking on the phone and yelling at her cats.
The family is grateful for the tireless and heartfelt dedication of Dawn Baugh who took care of Martha in her last few years allowing Martha to spend her final days in the comfort of her home. And special thanks to Bro. Westley Kirby for helping in the service.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 23rd at Memory Hill Cemetery across from the old mall on HWY 431. Albertville Memorial Chapel will be conducting the service. Bro. Westley Kirby will be officiating
