Martha Fitzgerald Waddell, age 88, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, October 7, 2013. Her family will receive friends Thursday 2-3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia with Rev. David Lee officiating.
Mrs. Waddell was a Tuscumbia native and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. (Jim) Waddell, Jr.; her parents, Frank M. and May Chilton Fitzgerald; sisters, Ruth F. Jumper, Virginia F. Johnson and her nephew, William C. “Jackie” Holland III.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Samuel Fitzgerald Waddell of New Orleans, LA and daughter, Dr. Jenetta Ruth Waddell of Tuscumbia.
