Martha Evonne Borden, 85, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023. Visitation will be Sunday, August 6th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday, August 7th, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Larry Webb, minister of Worthington Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Shaw Cemetery.
Evonne was a lifelong resident of Colbert County and a member of River Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Borden; daughter, Sherry Hand; son, Donald Borden; son-in-law, Jimmie Jones; and parents Lee and Pauline Aday.
Evonne is survived by her children, Joanne Webb (Larry), Louisville, KY, Kay Jones, Muscle Shoals, Doug Borden (Amy), Muscle Shoals, and son-in-law, Glenn Hand, Leighton; brothers, Floyd Aday (Martha), Sheffield, Mac Aday (Carolyn), Tuscumbia, and Calvin Aday (Kay), Tuscumbia; sisters, Bobbie Smith and Dean Williams, both of Muscle Shoals; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Josh Jones, Austin Borden, Kamren Randolph, Andrew Frederick, Tommy Rupley, and Cody Brown.
